Gone in Georgia

IMGP0686.jpg

I just came back from my second 11-day trip to Georgia. While I told my boss I would be working, I was actually taking about 700 pictures in Tbilisi, while traveling to the Black Sea coast, and in the mountainous South Caucasus. About 500 of these are left after sorting. Thanks to the blessings of the “post-Georgian-hangover”-filter in Photoshop, I was able to make around 130 of them look great and just put them up to the site.

Feel invited to have a look at them if you like at: http://blog.bijankafi.de/photography.htm (choose the Georgia gallery)

I plan to also put up a few articles on some of my impressions particularly the more adventurous ones like traveling through the South Caucasus mountains on very bad serpentine roads for hours with a terrible hangover, taking part in my first Russian Orthodox service, or drinking Georgian Tarragon lemonade at a Georgian wedding party while only narrowly escaping a speech on the glory of my grand mother.

So, stay tuned and enjoy the pictures.
